13/11/2008 Videotaping helpsHad a very special tennis session today. Camera set, instructions given, all playing videotaped, playback, and professional analysis and suggestions made by the prof. It was actually the first time to watch myself playing; found it quite helpful. Key notes: 1) Serve: Lauching ok, both height and position; but there's a short pausing (righthand) before hitting the ball. Have to eliminate it and make the movement continuous. 2) Forehand: I prepare quite early and the curve of my racquet movement is good too. Have to improve steps, left foot could forward a little bit. Turn the body more. And try to add more spin to the ball. 3) Backhand: I almost believed I'd lost my backhand until I found it back recently. My backhand steps looked great. Loving it. The prof actually said it was perfect. Keep it. 4) Volley: Forehand ok; backhand seemed not satisfying. Need to practice more. Pay attention to the movement of wrist.
